What an adventure
What an adventure, and we have not even left the dock! A powerful storm with tornados just passed a few miles north of us. Newly upgraded radio woke up and started blasting weather alarms. We still see residual rain and lighting high above us.

What a different feel
With prop replaced and thruster fixed, we got 10kts at full throttle. Refreshing. And docking was a breeze.

Monday, March 24
We spent the night at anchor in the Gulf of Mexico in front of the city Nokomis. In the morning weighted anchor and got to the Venice Crows Marina. Got 40 gallons of fuel and now motor sailing to the Key West.

Ready to jump
We are waiting for the weather to clear and plan to jump across the Gulf Stream on Sunday.
Unfortunately, our shake out sail had introduced more delays, and requires more fixes than we have anticipated. Also, our tag along sailboat had unanticipated issues on its own and will not be going to BVI until last week of April.
We now plan to stay in Bahamas, enjoy a week or so of nice water, snorkel and sun. Then most of the team will head back home.
Meanwhile, I will arrange more repairs to get the boat ready to go to the BVI, and we will try again in April.
